Samer Issawi is on his 270th day of hunger strike. He is still in
intensive care at Kaplan medical center. Amid warnings regarding his
deteriorating health condition Samer is
determined to continue his hunger strike until he is freed and returned
to Jerusalem. Samer is suffering from weakness of the heart muscle,
presence of water in the lungs, and a steep decline in heart beats.
According to Lawyer Jawad Bolos, Israeli occupation authorities negotiators tried to convince Samer to accept Israel's offer to be exiled, but again Samer refused. Negotiators tried to find other options, but he insisted the only option he will accept is releasing him and sending him back to Jerusalem, his home.
